A Flower’s Perspective
The overall message of this image is about choosing to view life through a different lens. The first layer I chose was a plant viewed through a kaleidoscope. This is meaningful to me because it reminds me that something very simple like that plant can be very interesting when viewed from a different perspective. Then, I chose the flower. I liked this flower because it wasn’t surrounded by anything else and that reminded me that beauty is everywhere. I also chose the lamp post because it is located close to an ice cream shop I love. To create my image, I set the selfie as my background and then took out the background of all other images with the magic wand and eraser. The final product created A Flower’s Perspective that emphasizes choosing to view life through a different lens.

Riding the Street of Life
At the beginning of this class, I had no experience using Photoshop. Now I know more about editing pictures, and I am more aware of the composition of my pictures. I have learned how to apply filters, make blueprints, make shadows, and many other things. On this project, I was able to apply all of the thing I have learned throughout the trimester to make the double exposure and include text. On my selfie, I only knew how to change the opacity of my pictures. For my double exposure, I was able to change blending modes, invert selections, change the background color, and add text.
